A jobless man applied for the position of ‘office boy’ at a
very big firm. The employer interviewed him, then a test him to clean the
floor.
“You are hired.” the employer said.
”Give me your email address, and I’ll send you the application for you to fill,
as well as when you will resume.”
The man replied, “I don’t have a
computer, neither an email address.” I am sorry, said the employer, and if you don’t have email, you cannot have
the job.”
The man left the office with no
hope. He didn’t know what to do, with only $10
in his pocket. He then decided to go to the supermarket, to buy a 10 kg tomato crate, then started
selling the tomatoes from door to door. In less than two hours, he doubled his
capital. He when back and buy tomatoes for good three (3) times and returned
home with $60 USD. The man realized
that he could survive by this way, and started to go every day earlier, and
returned late. Thus, his money doubled or tripled every day. Shortly later, he
bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery
vehicles.
Five years later, the man’s company
was one of the biggest food retailers. He started to plan his family’s future,
and decided to have a life insurance. He called an insurance broker and chose a
protection plan. When the conversation was concluded, the broker asked him his
email address. The man replied: “I don’t have an email.”
The broker replied curiously, “You
don’t have an email address, and yet you have succeeded to build an empire. Do
you imagine what position you could have if you had an email?” The man paused
for a while, and replied: “An office boy!”

- Don’t be discouraged if something is not in your favor today. Better opportunities are always waiting ahead.
- Believe in yourself and look inward what you can do. Believe in your God given abilities because there are better plan for you than you can imagine in the future
- Don’t despair your little beginning, be consistent, and focus with great optimistic attitude. Be diligent at your little beginning
- Never give up on yourself when you are severally turned down by job opportunities, or any other life challenging situations. The truth is that they make you better because make to improve on yourself and your testimonies are few blocks from you so don’t stop here!
- There’s always away out for you at the tunnel.
- Sometimes they are not what God have in store for you, so some are just experience to make you believe on yourself no matter where you are and what you do
