This was officially announced on Monday 20th March, 2017. Amazing over 20,000 candidates have already registered for the long awaited exam and this was revealed by Mr Fabian Benjamin (Jamb public relations officer {JAMB spokesman})
Mr Fabian Benjamin the spokesman of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), said that over 20,000 prospective candidates have registered for the 2017 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration which was officially announced on Monday.
He disclosed this in a chat with the media, in response to complaints made by some candidate who claimed they were finding it difficult to register in the centres accredited in Lagos state.
Mr Benjamin said: “JAMB is expecting about two million candidates to register for this year’s UTME across the country within the stipulated time frame from March 20th to April 19th.
“About 20,000 candidates have successfully registered in two days.
‘’I am not aware that UTME centres in Lagos are finding it difficult to register candidates.’’
Meanwhile, many accredited centers in Lagos were yet to commence registration and this is simple because they are still lack of JAMB code.
Out of the 600 accredited CBT centres in the country, Lagos has 39. This year Jamb is really new and all the approaches are new.
