BlackBerry KeyOne features the same touchscreen
and physical QWERTY keyboard combo of the BlackBerry Priv. However,
the keyboard does not slide-in like in the case of Priv.
The reason for the rigid keyboard design is
because of the smaller screen in order to accommodate the QWERTY
keys. BlackBerry KeyOne has a 4.5-inch IPS display with 1080 x 1620
pixels resolution.
This modern Smartphone is actually made by a different company called TCL Communications, while BlackBerry is a licensing partner that handles the software, but will not be responsible for the actual sales and distribution of the phone.
KeyOne's Smart Keyboard, which has a fingerprint
sensor on the space-bar as well as capacitive touch on the entire
keyboard for scrolling. You can 'Flick' predictions using the
BlackBerry KEYone keyboard, and also assign shortcuts to keys (such
as press B for browser) for use with a press or a long-press
As for the camera, BlackBerry KEYone bears a 12MP
rear camera with a Sony IMX378 sensor - the same acclaimed sensor as
the one on the Google Pixel - that has 1.55-micron pixels. For
imaging, this smartphone also bears an 8MP front camera with a
wide-angle lens and a flash module.
