When you want to share your data bundle, you either share because of love or share because of business. But it is indeed great that all networks operators in Nigeria gives us the allowance to share our data bundles within our self.
GLO even went more higher by introducing to us, online way you can share your data bundles but the problem there is that, it doesn’t allocate the data bundle but it shares from one SIM.
Share Your Glo Data Bundle Plan With Your Family and Friens
There are two ways of sharing your data bundle. Which are transfering with SMS and USSD and then that of Online Sharing;
Transfer Using SMS AND USSD
Add people to share, dial *127*01*friend’s number# or Send “Share[space]friend’s number” to 127
To remove people from sharing, dial *127*01*friend’s number# or Send “Remove[space] friend’s number” to 127
You can view the lists of people you are sharing to, dial *127*00# or Send “List” to 127.
Transfer Using Glo’s self care portal
Note that there is certain amount of data plans can be shared at the moment; such as Always Max (8GB), Always Min (4GB), Silver (13GB), Gold (20GB) and Platinum (30GB) plans.
You have to visit the Glo HSI page www.hsi.glo.com using your Glo line or mdem and Select the ‘share it’ icon
Then enter the Glo number you want to share with in the ‘Add Mobile Number’ box and select the + icon
Immediately a confirmation message will pop-up. Confirm by selecting the ‘Yes’ icon
You and the recipient will get an sms notification stating that the sharing is successful.
You can delete one of your sharing recipients from the list, simply select the ‘X’ icon next to number you want to delete.
How To Buy GLO Data Bundle Plan As A Gift
You can also buy a subscription and send it to friends, family and loved ones as ‘gifts’. This feature is especially useful if you don’t want to share your subscription with the intended recipient. The gift recipient will be notified via customized SMS.
How to Gift a Data plan>> To GIFT a subscription: Dial *127*[USSD_Plan_Number]*[friend’s number]# or Send “Gift [friend’s number]” to 127
>> Visit hsi.glo.com from your device (using Glo SIM) and use the gifting feature
Other features:
Customers can also view their transaction history on the portal, generate invoices of their transactions and view status of all their plans among other things.
