Twenty-five others were suspended indefinitely, pending their appearances before constituted parcels from the school authorities
According to a statement by the Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations of the institution endorsed by LASU’s spokesman, Mr. Adekoya Martin Ademola, the school’s university senate approved the dismissal of the affected students.
It said: “The university senate on the recommendation of the Committee of Provosts, Deans and Directors on Examination Misconduct at its 228th statutory meeting held on Thursday, June 2, 2016, considered and ratified the expulsion of 69 students and the suspension of 25 others in the 2015/2016 academic session.”
Some of the offences committed according to the statement includes but not limited to “impersonation, forgery, use of fake docket, cheating with prepared micro-chip, searching for answers on mobile phones and combat between rival cult.”
Those mostly affected according to the list were final year students (500 and 400 level), followed by those of 300 and 200 levels respectively.
