The Biggest Suicide Bombing Since 2003, A Number of Deaths Rises to 250


A few weeks back, the terrorist group claimed responsibility on the attack on an airport in Turkey. The Islamic state of Iraq and Syria have
been attacking a few number of middle east countries in recent times


The Sunday July 3rd, bombing is seen as the worst suicide bombing ever since the US led coalition forces invaded the Middle East country in 2003.

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari greatly condemns the act, the terrorist attack on spots in Saudi Arabia, which happened just a day to the Muslims’ end of Ramadan festival called Eid-ul-Fitr. The attack on Saudi Arabia came just two days after a huge bomb exploded and killed at least 123 people and a number of casualties has risen to at least 250 in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, revealed by the government of Iraq

BBC news reports that a lorry was packed with explosives, which were detonated in the Karrada area of the Baghdad at the time some families were shopping for the public holiday to mark the end of Ramadan fast.

The dreaded Islamic State (IS) alleged it carried out the deadly attack. It was previously learnt that from the suicide bombing incident that number of death as 165.

Iraq was thrown into an official state of mourning after the bombing. The destruction of the area was all but complete. Bewildered local residents have held candlelight vigils and prayed for peace.

5. August 14, 2007: Multiple suicide bombings targeting the Yazidi community in northern Iraq kill more than 500 people.

6. November 23, 2006: More than 200 people killed as six car bombs detonate in the Sadr City neighbourhood of Baghdad.
